Olga Hall BDS (Liverpool, 1986)

Principal Dentist (GDC no. 61611)

Olga gained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Liverpool Dental School, University of Liverpool, England.

Olga set up Market Place Dental Practice in August 2000. Olga's gentle and caring manner, together with her obvious passion for preventive dentistry, has made her very popular with our patients.

Olga is registered with the General Dental Council (GDC). This organisation regulates dental professionals in the UK in order to protect the general public.

Gillian Smith (EDH)

Dental Hygienist (GDC no. 2070)

Having qualified at Leeds Dental Hospital in 1980, Gillian gained invaluable experience at a number of practices before joining the team in 2004. Gillian describes herself as “an enthusiastic, gentle hygienist, providing the best possible periodontal therapy, aiming to help her patients keep their teeth for life”. She has a genuine understanding of nervous patients, working closely with them to help overcome their concerns in order to make treatment as comfortable as possible.

Friederike Schoohoven (EDH)

Dental Hygienist/Therapist (GDC no. 152724)

Friederike qualified at Birmingham University in 2008. After qualification she undertook her one year vocational training before joining the Practice in September 2009.

Friederike sees her main role as “giving patients’ teeth a professional clean to maintain happy and beautiful smiles all round”. This means scaling and polishing to the highest standards as well as assessing and treating gum disease. Another important role is giving patients the best possible oral hygiene advice to help keep teeth free from plaque. Friederike works closely with Olga to provide care tailored to the needs of the individual in a relaxed and friendly setting.

Pat Malcher

Receptionist

Pat joined the team in 2005, having worked locally in a patient focussed environment for many years. She has a cheerful disposition and develops an easy rapport with all patients. Pat is especially proud of her knack of helping our less confident patients feel totally at ease.

Michelle Dunnell

Receptionist

Michelle is our longest serving member of staff having joined us back in 2002. Michelle says she enjoys working as part of a dedicated and patient friendly team but regards patient care as the most important and rewarding part of her job. She also loves meeting new patients and chatting to the regulars.

Andrew Hall

Practice Manager

Andrew is a part-qualified accountant and has been managing the practice since it opened in 2000.

Serena Ryder

Qualified Dental Nurse

Serena is a highly experienced dental nurse, having qualified in 1993. She joined the practice in 2006 and has developed a good rapport with patients and colleagues alike. Serena works on a part-time basis, allowing her to pursue that ellusive work-life balance.

Magda Jakubczak

Trainee Dental Nurse

Magda had two years' dental nursing experience in Poland before moving to England in 2011. She is now hoping to gain her dental nursing qualifications in this country. Magda is a quiet, polite but very friendly and popular addition to the team.
