Caring for your children's teeth
At Market Place Dental Practice in Banbury, we firmly believe that if you can encourage good oral healthcare habits in children they will keep them for life.
We offer free NHS dentistry to children aged under 18 and can also offer private care if requested. Many parents ask us to provide NHS dentistry for their children and pay extra for services which are not funded by the NHS such as hygienist appointments and gum shields.
Fissure sealants are a good way of helping to protect vulnerable back teeth from decay. The treatment is simple and painless - we paint a solution onto the top of the back teeth which then helps prevent bacteria from entering the tiny cracks and crevices on the tooth surface.
If your child needs orthodontic (tooth straightening) treatment, we can refer them to a trusted orthodontic specialist. Some children are eligibile for NHS treatment, others have to pay - the orthodontist will be able to advise you of your treatment options when they have assessed your child's teeth.
