Dental veneers are often featured in TV makeover programmes because of their ability to almost instantly transform a smile.
These programmes don't always reflect veneers' versatility though - yes, they can create fantastic smile makeovers, but they are also good at hiding smaller imperfections such as a chipped or cracked tooth or a few misaligned teeth.
The veneers themselves are extremely thin layers of porcelain which are bonded to the front of your tooth or teeth, effectively hiding whatever is underneath. They are created in a dental laboratory to ensure they look and feel completely natural.
